The Princess and The Tower
It's warm right now in my house, really warm. Therefore sleeping can be a bit fitful. On the up side my brain entertains me with funky dreams.
This time it was this girl and a huge royal tower. An adviser has just informed her that she is now the active heir to the throne, ending the regency of her uncle. The hard bit is getting everyone back under her control. This includes the large castle finances that the uncle was spending on himself and his family, instead of the country. So newly made princess and adviser head up the tower visiting the various people on the way.
Stop one: Uncle's wife bedecked in gaudy jewels with an equally bedecked son. The princess informs the woman, much to her horror, that the 5 million will no longer be going to her and has been given back to where it belongs.
Stop Two: Noble cousin, lots removed. I kind of got the feeling that this was the future love interest for the princess. Your brain getting you to walk in when he's in the shower can do that to you. Princess turned away from the sight as the adviser got him ready to greet her. He was the rebellious bad guy of the tower - again a huge flag towards the love interest. :P
He accepted the words with nothing but a lopsided smile and a sniff.
Stop Three: a room with lots of cupboards. On investigation each of these has documents and files for every month of every year to help do the archiving of the royal documents.
Stop four: the royal bedroom that felt a bit rickety to me, despite being on huge stone foundations. Something about being that high up that worries me in my dreams.
Stop five: A dance with lots of people. The wife from earlier comes by to say that she is actually quite pleased with her new status and has left her husband. I am suddenly following the overly modern friend who has spotted something strange and thinks something along the line of "I know a plot when I see one." Heading downstairs we try to find out what that plot is. Only that's when I woke up.
