User approval ratings

I realised recently that being thanked by users for your work is a good indication of how they think you have done. It is always nice to receive recognition for the effort you put it.

However, the thanks being kind of generic, I've also realised that the measure of it is obvious in the amount of exclamation marks they use.

None = I'm saying thanks because I feel required to.
! = I'm happy it is working.
!! = This really helped my day
!!! = Thank god I thought I'd have to spend days working on this
!!!! = You just saved the computer from being thrown out the window from the top floor into the sea.
!!!!! = The person is insane ;)

This also works in reverse but I try to ignore those. :)
