Dragon Pizza, Sweet Chilli Sause and Direct Vikings

Another random comment ah la [livejournal.com profile] midnightoak & [livejournal.com profile] lucian_albrecht.

My weekend was great! It should be said that despite the 2.3 hour drive (we hit traffic around manchester as it was rush hour and there had been an accident.) on the motorway (only my second time) enjoying the hospitality of [livejournal.com profile] midnightoak & [livejournal.com profile] lucian_albrecht is worth it.

First night in we went for pizza. We had to be quick as the rugby was on and we didn't want the fans to get to the pizza place before us. Those that know me know I'm picky with pizza as I'm not really fond of the stuff. However [livejournal.com profile] midnightoak & I decided to both have the same pizza. Jalapeno, Chicken and garlic butter with the usual cheese and sauce as well.

There was a lot of green stuff on the pizzas. Enough that [livejournal.com profile] midnightoak had to finally remove them and combat the heat with milk. I on the other hand am made of sterner stuff, or maybe my demon part made me immune, for the jalapenos burned a little but by the end of it I didn't even need a drink. Beyond the Irn Bru [livejournal.com profile] lucian_albrecht had given me as I was thirsty to start with. It's enough to make a dragon proud.

We spent Saturday on our feet and picked up lots of stuff. My undoing was the sale on rpg books in travelling man which resulted in me getting two Yes two books. But unfortunately no munchkin, though I was tempted, it was still full price.

Presents were easy to get and, once I remembered what I wanted, we were able to go to the chinese supermarket to get my Sweet Chilli Sauce that I got very into at Rob's party. So :P I now own my own bottle.

Munchkin!!!!! Saturday night was munchkin fest with us playing Munchkin and munchkin bites. With five players and two boxes of cards we optimistically started playing around 8ish. Glory awaited the character to win as we scoffed Scrumple (see [livejournal.com profile] midnightoak's recipie) and strawberries.

However the backstabbing and clever play outdid us and no one reigned supreme until just after 1.20. It would have been over a little sooner if we (in a very unmunchkin like fashion) had paid attention to one particular rule. To [livejournal.com profile] midnightoak should have gone the spoils but it made for good suspenseful playing none the less.

Afterwards we discussed adding a few new cards in true munchkin style. See [livejournal.com profile] lucian_albrecht's comments to understand the connection.

1. The Innocent Seeming Envelopes. Level one but if the gasebo has already been played you can fetch it from the discard pile to add the gazebo free. Or you discard one card to add one monster free.

2. The Direct Viking who gets a bonus from being played with the innocent seeming envelopes.

I've also tracked down the blank cards to do it with.
<-- Now with added extra ;)

Right that's it folks other than to say that the trip to the farmers market was the best as I escaped with a lb of goat AND a really nice boneless shoulder of lamb. Yumm. And to say [livejournal.com profile] midnightoak was cool for letting me have her black thin leather belt on extended loan. Makes a lovely bracelet.

Tea's so far: One but I can make up for it later.

You really need to spellcheck your posts before you post them, [livejournal.com profile] lucian_albrecht is starting to make comments about your ability to spell the pompous pedant that he is...

That would be all good and well but it keeps trying to spell check the coding and all the apostraphies which really makes it tricky. :P

Unfair picking on poor little old me :( Waaaaaaaaaaahhh!!!

true...but it helps.
I could also point out that your new bracelet is far too short to ever have been a belt but you know...
My spelling is not any better I just catch myself at it...

I'll have you know I managed to wrap it round my waist. True I had to suck in my stomach a bit and it wasn't entirely comfortable but it didn't pop open which is a good sign (or just means the magnets are really strong).

So I can think of at least one person we know who could use it as belt. ;)
Not that I'd ever let her. My funky bracelet!

Well there's me told, have to say I did not try...was crushed at inability to use it as a watch strap. I suppose we do have teeny waists hidden in there...
still no movage on sewing front but will try.
