For want of a ladder

I almost ran over a hedgehog this morning. Well when I say almost I spotted him from a distance and crawled forward until he decided to scarper. He was never in any real danger. It's one of the upsides of getting up this early, seeing British wildlife in all it's glory.

I decided yesterday to try to pick more of the plums on our tree as quite a few of them are now getting a little overripe however the tree is a lot taller than me and I can no longer reach the branches that have nice fruit on them.
I am in want of a step ladder it would seem for the tree is very tall and the fruit so very tempting.

We've got a baby hedgehog somewhere in our garden - he's partial to corn beef :) An adult one also likes to run across the patio in front of our living room French window when we're watching TV :P Our plums are pretty rubbish this year for some reason.

This morning I had to avoid hitting the morehens. They have such cute chicks at the moment. :)
