Best laid plans
Freshers fair has come and gone and our Roleplay & Games Society was more successful this year than ever. 32 brand spanking new signatures and most of those are actual interested parties!
Our taster sessions have been planned to a tea with Five dm's on standby on the off chance that we get ALL the players that said they would come. We've even made sure to cater for the battle gamers and card gamers this year in our tasters with skirmish games available for them. We booked the rooms (four in total though we increased this to six after demand) on wednesday last week.
Soraya and Katherine have been slaving over a really cool Buffy scenario that would make the big man proud. Also had I not heard all the details, and were not dming myself, I would have loved to play.
The e-mail has gone out with whats on offer and date and time. I even shook off the cold I've had all week. You'd think nothing could harm us now.
You would be wrong
It seems that despite our efficiency this year our University (that promised it would be better this year after all the hassle we had last year) decided yesterday was a good day to start booking the room. THe system was so busy with new students registering that the woman couldn't even get into her e-mail.
So now room-less and with potentially 32 people turning up (minus those who can't spell their e-mail address) Soraya has resorted to booking a room in the Library (the only one she can get as a student) and hoping that something sorts itself out before tonight or we will have to postpone until next week. My demon is chomping at the bit but I think Soraya might get there first.
I'll tell you how it goes tomorrow.
In other news be careful what you use as an example when explaining words
When asked is it under water or underwater I explained that only when describing something like an underwater fish do you put the two together. THe only comment I can make is I wonder what the above water variety looks like. :)
