Did they recommend this?

I applauded the use before of the recommend feature of Amazon.fr in remembering what on earth you really wanted on a site that holds much too much of interest. On that note, K was recently looking at her recommendations on Amazon.co.uk to see if there was anything of interest.

As most of you probably know it takes info on what you've already bought to determine what to suggest. Suffice to say the new cricket books did result in books from almost every other sport.

However among the recommendations were two unlikely suspects.

1. Jamie Oliver's Cookbook
2. Trinny and Suzanna's What Not To Wear

There is a handy 'why did you recommend this' button available for those of a curious bent and so we checked.

"We have recommended this as you previously bought 'Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Special extended edition'"

Is this some strange mistype or is it as we feared that Amazon truly believes that all fans of the LOTR need to learn how to cook and dress better? Geeks and Boffins beware, Amazon is on to you!

Teas so far: none but about to remedy that.
