Blinking twinkly lights.
Oct. 27th, 2005 05:13 pmMy Demon chariot went to the garage yesterday when I finally got round to making an appointment. I was making sure its reverse lights got fixed. Having already worked out that the bulbs were fine and the fuse was fine it could only be the reverse light switch. Typical it being the one thing I can't fix myself.
So it come back all repaired and (to take a format
midnightoak used today) I learnt a few things about lights on a car.
1. Always check your lights when you get your car back. Getting them to switch on doesn't help if the bulb is broken.
2. Fixing one thing can easily break another. The garage knocked the connection to my left back indicator loose.
3. My indicator lights have orange bulbs and they can lose their colour.
4. Remember to check which way round the bulb goes into the socket.
5. Screwdriver and pincers are a good tool for removing stuck bulbs in a pinch if you don't mind breaking them.
6. Having spare bulbs saves a lot of time.
7. Getting the garage to reconnect the indicator is a quick job (which I also didn't have to pay for)
So all in all a good learning experience even if it took more effort than it should have.
Teas so far: 2 and both before work :D
