Having explained to my Swedish collegues (much to their amusement) that I did my last governement election in a pub carpark, I was even more amused when I found about about this.

The Post office in a Pub that won an award for being the best rural post office. I wonder why ;)

Welsh Entrepreneurs have done it again. Come up with another helpful product from sheep, other than wool and meat.

"Herald call out the knights, rouse the dogs we have a hunting mission to go on."
"What shall I tell them that we are hunting, milord?"
"Vandals!"

When I rode out last morning on my way to Bodnant fair. I saw a graceful Castle with creepers everywhere. The view was ehr so stunning and my heart rang like a bell, but as I rode right passed it I knew it was not well.

Lay ye down your woolen shawl me friend, I swear it is no joke as I tell to you the story of that old Gwrych castle's fate.

"Vandals you say. What do you plan on doing when you catch them?"
"Hang them, draw them and quarter them. Tis what they deserve!"

Ok so I am angry. Very very angry at what has happened to such a nice castle in so few years. And I am wishing that not only did I play the lottery but that I also would win it for I would give all that money just to see that castle live again.

To the person who thought torching HISTORICAL HAND CARVED WOODEN INLAY was a fun thing to do. Think again. If I ever get my hands on you...

Here to hoping its future is better and that a kindhearted person can restore it to its former glory. Oh and that we are allowed to see it naturally ;)

In no particular order -

1. There is less traffic on way to work making the drive nicer.

2. The dramatic lighting effects that inspired the British landscape artists and make me wish I could take photos with my eyes (as anything else is dangerous while driving)

3. The Heron flying overhead

4. The beautiful but oh so fleeting Double Rainbow. One incredibly bright one with another echoing it.

5. Early morning bird song.

6. Hearing the random newspaper items read out by Sarah Kennedy - Texting the Samaritans anyone?

Those that read my journal regularly will remember me mentioning a particular news channels attempt at
making politics less clear

Well when up in the canteen today I noticed that they were still at it withe the nice headline under Tony Blair stating We need to create a but with no continuation of the headline as the next thing I read was mean waiting times have come down.

I can only assume they mean Tony is creating a blank space or an A. Both of which seem very un-news worthy. :P

The aside is another look at the Irony of Buffy/Angel actors in other series. A while back (I forgot to update with this comment then) I spotted Julie Benz in an episode of Supernatural where she was playing a woman who was ill and had gone to a faith healer because of her illness - a brain tumour. Which is sort of ironic for those that know how human Darla would have died.

Also it seems my right leg is tastier than my left as it is full of insect bites but I have none on the rest of my body.

Is it me or do the news networks sometimes have the strangest headline? There I was eating my lunch in the canteen for one. I was sitting by the screen that shows the Sky news network and the commons debate was in full swing. Now the sound isn't really high enough for me to work out what is going on so I thought I'd check out the breaking news titles at the bottom of the screen.

I don't know about you but I can't manage to make a single coherent sentence out of any of them.

Blair: Wont Say How Much Of The ~~~ (of What!!!!)

Blair: New Anti-social Behaviour ~~~ (As opposed to all that old behaviour we get)

Cameron: On Govermental Issues ~~~ (Isn't this the whole debate?)

Blair: Tory Environmental Policy ~~~ (Did he switch party when I wasn't looking?)

Blair: ID Cards Essential Way ~~~ (To Amarillo perhaps?)

It seems it's not only the governement that likes to confuse people. Sky is helping as well ;)

Ok so anyone who in any way has a television, and switches it on occasionally, will not have missed the coverage of the explosion at Hemel Hempstead.

Looking like a scene from an action movie the plume of smoke covers a large part of Southern England and the explosion could be heard in Northern France and the Netherlands.

The only reason I mention it at all is the pictures on the Beeb Website just have to be seen to be believed. My favourite being the view from the London Eye this morning.

And a couple of these are quite dramatic as well.

Have you ever wondered what to say when you need a dealer of stolen cats or found you don't have the right word in english for what facial hair you are discribing?

Well why not take words from other languages? Look here

I don't speak english.

Yes, it's true. Your eyes do knot deceive you. Several sources have declared it. Katherine is adament that the longer I work as a swedish analyst the worse my English gets. In a whey I think it is true and it's knot like my other tongues have expanded to fill the gap.

Examples of my deteriation exist in droves.

I try to extridite my things from my bag.
I imbinged too much on tea.
And I frequently rewinded my videos.

But hope is in site. [livejournal.com profile] midnightoak has shown me the whey. There is a new land beyond the horizon without a state language. If I can make them take my language then I will offically be correct when I speak. Yes this is a good plan. Beware for soon you will all be forced to speak Sabrinaish. Mwahahaha cough *blush*

In other news here's a lovely extract from my local paper that just shows you have to be careful with words.

Driver's Lucky Escape )

Tea's so far: None again I'm going through a drought and I'm not happy about it. Roll on the weekend with lots of tea.
