Of Nuns and Roundabouts
Jun. 21st, 2007 09:59 amSo I haven't mentioned my impending interview this afternoon (16:00) for various reasons. Most to do with my nervousness of airing info about something I might not get. That said, they'd be insane not to employ me ;)
As most of those who read my lj know I've been loosing weight recently. I won't comment on how that is going just yet but it has meant that I needed to go shopping in order to look good for my interview. Nothing as offputting as an interviewee that hasn't made a little effort.
H&M is my favourite place for shirt shopping and I can finally fit into their shirts again. Woot! So four bought and a slight colour shift in my wardrobe. Finally the majority of my shirts aren't black.
midnightoak and I had a brief conversation about sizing and reached the confusing conclusion that I'm either 1 H&M size bigger than her or 3 depending on the shirt...
I was on my way from work to go shopping via the queensferry roundabout that had a rather large grassy verge to it. Approaching it from the distance I saw a large red tractor with a guy leaning out to talk to some nuns who were standing next to a white hatchback with the doors open. They were all on the grassy verge and I just drove past thinking...Why did I not have a camera? Why?
I noticed one car drive onto the roundabout behind them. I think his curiousity got the better of him and he went to find out what on Earth was going on.
