So this is a late update talking about my Tuesday evening as I was too busy to post it Wednesday. Such is the way of things.

So K and I were invited round to a friends for consolatory dessert as our wednesday rpg session had to be canceled due to her working. We also got dinner out of it so was very good deal for me as I didn't have to cook. Or so I thought when I went over there. In healthy mode I decided to walk with it taking me 45 mins to get there. I really did not walk fast. I got there was handed tea and promptly roped into the cooking.

With all of us arrived we then tried to decide what to do. This resulted in Shaun of the dead being put into the DVD player a la xbox.

I had not really wanted to watch this film thinking it would be another crass outing. However I soon discovered how wrong I was to ignore it. Ok so they all used harsher cuss words than I liked but the humour was great. His mum asking to make him tea as he tried to work out what to do about his possibly zombiefied stepdad was very british and also her "I didn't want to make a fuss" made me sqwee (after all the talk of British manners I've been having recently). There are many little details in this film that you would miss if you weren't looking. Lots going on in the background that the hero just doesn't notice.
If you like zombies and want a laugh do get this film.

Watching the film resulted in C looking around the room for suitable Zombie weapons and finding a hammer, baseball bat and hockey stick that he then proceeded to model in true magazine fashion. This led to a discussion of what to call such a magazine. After much debate we have chosen Romero & West~for the discerning Zombie Hunter. Look out for issues of this magazine in the future.
I also should mention the comment of the evening for K.
Now this is why I don't mention what I do with my evenings to my work colleagues. "So what did you do last night?" thinks 'hit someone on the bum with a hammer while he was modeling for zombie magazines' Says "Nothing much..."

It surprised me how much I started to look for signs of the zombie apocalypse when we left to go home. There were so few people about and it was dark...But no worries I have my tea and my weapons should the zombie apocalypse happen.

That night I dreamt of the Scissor Sisters, who were doing music videos in my brain, dragging me with them to help. There were people appearing through the ground as we sat in a park. It was like the music video was real. The girl even had a song that she sang on her own (during which we ended up having to escape and hide from things). I woke up very confused and wishing I could tape the songs so I could remember what they sounded like. They weren't Scissor sister songs I recognised but completely new. Ah well some time in the future when they can read our dreams and stick them on computers for others to watch you'll really see how strange my brain is. ;)
