Writing like a pirate

So I've started to comment on my writing on my LJ. I think this is probably the fourth time or some such. I never intended to comment about it here but hey. It's a journal and well writing is what I do when I can. So not mentioning it does leave out a big chunk of what I do.

Currently I'm focusing on a random pirate short and am having trouble not making my pirates sound like a bunch of boarding school dropouts. Trying to write an accent when you are used to trying to not write grammatical mistakes can grate a bit. I keep wanting to correct their speech :)

But I also said I would finish fallen 7. So with both files open I hope to get one of them done at some point. I can see the pirate thing taking a while though so fallen is likely to get done first.

Fingers crossed for both of them...

Making a kilt and pleating is all very well (pleating being quite easy) but seriously waist suppression is a pig to work out how to do. Especially as you are working with measurements of 0.5cms. I mean, how am I supposed to tell it has suppressed it?! At least the fitting is this weekend so we will see then how I did.

I've also booked myself into Maelstrom again so expect more random comments about being a big bird and making sure my costume is ready.
