Edits and Files and Searching

I can't believe it...It's not possible for me to have imagined editing everything. At least I don't think it's possible. I'm rather doubting my uhm... well insanity?

I have this story that I know I've edited up until a certain point in the story. I remember removing the ending so that I would completely rewrite it but I can't find the file anywhere. I've searched my entire computer and usb pen and well ok not my external harddrive but I can't see me really saving it there...and not choccoweeble's computer, that would just be obsessive of me... and you can all see me doing it once I get home can't you? :P

I'd just gotten into the right frame of mind to finish my first full edit of it too. Grrr now I have to start again. See me grumble...So volunteers for reading the edited (not finished) version when I'm done?

Sure! I'll volunteer.

Make sure you didn't make the same mistake I did and only think you had a finished version on your computer. Make sure the ending isn't written on some scraps of paper that are lying around. I frequently make that mistake....

Oh no, I'm sure I wrote it on the machine. I tend not to write edits on scraps. First run throughs yes. I've had a story missing for 6 years because I can't find that darn piece of paper. :)

I'm just not sure if it actually got saved or if the file crashed or got saved over :( I'm searching my e-mail accounts to be on the safe side. I remember bits of what I added like random background creepy stuff. :P You're lucky you aren't reading the first draft. The second one will be much better...

I don't know. It's my mirror story, but I don't think I sent you the edit. Unless I sent it in bits over msn but somehow I doubt it. :P
Am rewriting it now. You never know it might end up better for it anyway.
