On the wrong side of awake

I tried to be sensible last night and go to bed early enough to get a full nights sleep. Unfortunately my mind and body did not agree with me and I woke at least four times in the night and had various strange dreams that though coherent at the time are now slipping away from me...

To aid in my forcing me out of bed I even gave myself only 30 mins to get up and head for work. It was a good plan except I forgot that it was frosty at the moment and I reached the car to find it covered in swirly ice patterns. Pretty swirlly stubborn ice patterns that did not want to come off the car. I managed to scrape a small window for me to view through and decided to get in the car to see if that would be enough. Opened the driver's side door sat down closed the door. Thought I need to scrape a bit more and then discovered that the door would not open again...

Yes I could have clambered out another door with a bit of work but by then I would be late so I just decided to go for it. Fortunately the roads are real quiet at 4.30am.

So now here I sit with my stomach in turmoil, my head feeling woozy and with no desire to sit here for 6 hours with nothing to do...

I have just realised that you posted that from work. Eek.

In other news, if you or choccoweeble want an in-car inverter, Aldi has some in for £15 at the moment. Very handy for camping.

Yeah the ban on internet isn't active on the weekend fortunately.

The in-car inverter sounds interesting but I gather the car needs to be fitted with a cigarette lighter outlet first...something my car does not have. Random really as the previous owner was clearly a smoker...
